The Western America Railroad Museum (WARM) was opened in 2001 with the goal of preserving and sharing Barstow and the American southwest's rich railroading heritage. Founded by longtime railfans and former Santa Fe employees, we're committed to preserving the legacy of American railroading.
Outside you'll find numerous pieces of vintage railroad rolling stock and equipment. Highlights include: Santa Fe's one of a kind BEEP #1460, Warbonnet FP45 #95, Arizona & California Business Car #58, two SD40 freight locomotives, and two cabooses.
Located in the historic Casa del Desierto Harvey House, our various indoor displays and gift shop are sure to offer something for everyone.
Highlights include: a scale model operational steam locomotive, the Dogtooth Mountain model railroad, BNSF cab simulator, the Gustafson Date Nail Collection, and the Drenk Memorial Research Library.
